It's October which means fall is finally here! Fall is the perfect time to cozy up with a book beneath a blanket, outside under a favorite tree, or with a favorite pet. For this month, the Porter County Public Library System wants to inspire you to read differently this whole month. Complete five or more of the activities in our Falling for Books challenge to earn a free prize. The challenges can be found on a printed flyer at the Circulation and Children's Services desks or through our Beanstack app. You can use the printed flyer or the Beanstack app to track your progress.
After completing five or more of the challenges, come to your local branch to collect your special prize. Don't forget to let your librarians know all about your reading adventures.
Hebron Public Library was built in 1917, the last library to be built with money from the Carnegie Foundation. It was remodeled in 1995, keeping several of the iconic Carnegie design elements from the original construction. Located across the street from the post office and two blocks from Hebron's Main Street, the library is easily accessible, but not in a congested area. This cozy library houses more than just books, with a good selection of DVDs, music CDs, Audiobooks, and periodicals. It offers a conference room, a large meeting room, free WI-FI, and computers, all for public use. They also have fun and educational children and adult programming.
